Summer Learning Journal Practice - Activity 1

Kia Ora World Bloggers,

Today I am going to be talking about Canada. The reason why I have chosen Canada because they have most people in Canada, and the number of people in Canada is 35.9 million People in Canada.  Another reason why that I chose it because I did not know what was the capital city in Canada is Ottawa it has so many out buildings and other houses.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and have a Marry Christmas. Byee

  1. Bula vinaka Mandita,
my name is Cia. I am a Summer Learning Journey blogger who will be working with you over the summer break.

I like that you shared why you chose Canada and included something new you learned; that Ottawa was the capital city of Canada. You mentioned that Canada had a lot of buildings, maybe next time you could write about a special building that tourists might want to visit.

Wow, Canada sure does have a lot of people, in fact they have around about 30 million more people than New Zealand and around 287 Million less than their neighbour America! I’ve always wondered what it would be like to live in a big country like Canada, I really want to visit Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada in Toronto. What city in Canada would you visit and why?

Toe feiloa’i fo’i ('See you again' in Samoan),

  2. Kia Ora Mandita,

Wow, 35.9 million people... That’s a lot. I’m curious, what are some of the traditions in Canada? Maybe you could tell your blog readers how they celebrate Christmas there. I would love to travel there someday, it’s such a beautiful country.
A friend of mine went there for a year to work at a youth camp. They ended up stay there for 3 more years because they loved it so much!

Maybe you could include some photos of Canada, either some historical place or something you think is really cool and would like to share.

    Keep up the great work!

    Cadence :)
