What there are on my street poem !

Today we were working on a poem and the purpose was to describe something. We were doing the writing with Mrs Buttler, she is our writing teacher that comes in every Tuesday.

Here is the writing.

In my street there are old houses, expensive houses, white houses and brown houses. Rigid fences, rickety fences, steep roofs, sharp roofs, shiny reflected windows with net curtains.

 Matariki is when seven stars come up when it is mid night do you now what is another name for seven stars?It is constellations it means when they make some shapes or pitchers.Did you know that Maori has a festival and in the festival they make lanterns that are made out of komokamo. Komokamo is a type of pumpkin and if it is in the winter it will get holes and they look gray and white and that is what the farmers feed to the pigs and does on smell nice if it is rotten.
