Today in my class we watched a video about this dog that had one leg missing then we wrote writing from the boy's POV( point of view) or the dogs POV( point of view).

Milk Video !!!

Hello my little Pupkits,
Yesterday my whole class got into groups and we worked on producing the video about milk because there is a huge milk problem in the school about milk. It was really fun doing the milk video because there were a lot of fails but we didn't include it in the video . The people in my group were: Rhia, Gloria, Fatima and Gabriella.  I think the video went well but something that I would change is the places that we were filming at because in some of the video there were other people there

Roll oar coaster play

Hi again my little Pupkits,
Today we were doing the play and we had to chose a news article from kiwi kids news and then we had to practice a play of what the article was talking about. In a group there had to bee at least 3 people in the group so we had 3 people in our group and there names are: Lillias and Rouge they were awesome because our play went very well. 

In our article in Rainbows end the roller coaster that stopped at the top of the loop.

My Prediction The boy in the girls bathroom

Morning my little Pupkits,
Today in class we have been reading the class novel the boy in the girls bathroom and we are almost to the end of the novel and I have done a prediction.

I think the birthday party will go well because Bradley’s best friend Jeff is going to be at the birthday party. I also think that Bradley, Carla and Jeff will be best friends at the end of the story.

Swimming!!!

Hello again my little Pupkits,
Last Thursday we went in the big pool and we learnt how to put a life jacket on if you jumped into the water it was a little bit hard but I manged to do it. If you want to know how to put on a life jacket under water this is how you do it... So you have to push the life jacket with your whole body and then we had to put one arm into one of the wholes and the you have to role on your back and then put the other one one then you zip and bucket in on and that's how you put on a life jacket underwater.

We also learnt how to jump in the pool with our life jackets because if we had to abandoned a ship then we could just jump of and start swimming to the land. If you want to know how to jump in a pool with a life jacket this is how you do it... So you have to cross your arms and put your arms on your solders then after that you have to step into the pool and then you have done it, isn't that amazing?

We did a very fun thing in the big pool after that which was a human chain if you don't know what a human chain is it is a chain that is formed by humans.

150 word challenge

Bula blogging world,
Today my teacher challenged us to write 150 words.



In this photo we were doing a exercise called the plank, the plank helps your legs and arms get exercised. We had to hold the plank for a 1 min and the pain was the WORST, because my legs were wobbling and also my arm were wobbling to.

How to do the plank?
Well to do a plank you have to go down to your knees and hold front sport ( Go on your hands and your legs go out and you but has to stay down) and then you go on your elbows and yeah that's you do it.

The whole class were included all of the class were very tired at the end of it because the muscles were stretching and that HURT ALOT.

It was hard for some of the people from my class because it was there first time doing it for there first time. When my teacher told everyone that we were going to do a plank hold.

What's In The News This Week

Bula My PupKits,

Today our reading task was to find some news from this week. Since today is Tuesday we can also get an article between last Tuesday (23rd) and this Tuesday (30th). But I chose one of the latest posts.

Interesting fact: The plane was called Lion Air it was from Indonesia. Also the Lion Air could aboard up to 737 passengers maximum but only 188 people aboard.

The news was : A little sad since people died but I don't know any of those people.

New word I discovered:  The new word was SCOURING! It means to remove grease or dirt by polishing or by rubbing hard.

Worth Reading:  The article was a bit interesting because it makes me wonder what will I feel/do if I was is in a plane crash. I could imagine already that it will be scary and I would be sitting there like a fool.

The Clever Cats Play

Today my class were acting out a play script which was called the clever cats. We did it because soon we are going to make a seen about the boy in the girls bathroom book (the fight seen).

Our aim was to follow the stage directions and following the play script. My group members are Lillias, Rhia, Gabriella, Gloria, Fatima and Alihetoa. The play went OK because one of our group members forgot to say her part.

Kiwi Sport

Yesterday some people from the senior classes from Hay Park School went to kiwi sport at Hillsborough school. We got to Hillsborough school by walking and when we were on our way back our feet were paining so BADLY that we had trouble walking.

The activities over there had a lot of team work involved like one of the activity was a water relay we had one little plastic cup and a big bucket of water. We had to fill the other bucket at the other side we had to do crazy things before we pored the water into the bucket.

Another activity was T-ball if you don't know what the rules to T-ball, the rules are that there were no strikes you had to touch one base at a time the fielders could tag you by putting there foot on the base and getting a ball taping them on the shoulders.   

The next activity was "Rob the Nest".There were six groups and we got a letter and the letters were A B C D E. They called out a letter then that letter would run into the middle and pick up a toy animal. Then run back to your nest. If the toy animals were all gone then they would say "rob the nest". So you would go to someones nest, get the toy animal and run back to your nest. But other people would get your toy animal and go back to their nest.

After that we went to play scatter ball if you don't know how to play scatter ball the rules are you have to throw three balls and the fielding team will try to get the balls back as quickly as they can and the person that threw three balls had to run to the hoops as fast as they can, the persons team mates count how much runs that they made.

Next we did non stop cricket when you play non stop cricket you can't stop. You have to run at the back of the line and you have to pass the bat all the way to the front of the line and the next person and try to hit the ball with the bat and try not let the other team get the wikis.

Last thing that we did was tug of war our team won 1 round but we didn't get a rest so then we lost the second round.

THE PAINFUL SQUATS

It’s been a very busy new term. Have a look at what we have been doing so far this term.

In this photo you can see people from our class participating in a wall squat challenge. There were two teams ( team 1 team 2 ).

If you want to know how to do a wall squat all you do is lean against the wall and then you squat down making sure that your back is against the wall.

We had to pass a book to the next person two times.

If the team got out of the squat then they had to do a forfit ( the forfit was to do ten star jumps). Lucky none of the teams got out of the squat so they didn’t need to do the forfit.  

The winning team was team two because the time was faster and the book pasing was fast too.

Samoan week

Samoan Week

This week is Samoan week So my class and I were learning interesting thing about Samoa. One of the fact that we learned were  o mai oe that means how are you?  We were in a circle because there was some Samoan things that some of my class maties  bringd for us. Our favaort one was the war weapon it was made out of would and also the designs  that were carved were like tatoos. At the mat there was tapa cloth, Tapa cloth is a type of cloth but it has all kinds of desnies from all over the country.All of these thing that we had it was from Mrs Tau.
